Student Selection Criteria

Anjiro Initiative selects student beneficiaries by prioritizing the following characteristics in ranking order:

1.       Students who received a scholarship the previous year.

2.       Students who are on the official sign-up sheet in the order listed.

a.       Eligible female students are prioritized to ensure gender parity or better across the respective educational program (i.e. University Program, Anjiro Program, or Restricted Program). All other students are considered subsequently.

b.       Eligible students who passed their class the previous year.

·  Students who did not pass their previous year must obtain a teacher’s recommendation to be considered for the current year.

·  Students who did not pass their previous year and have not obtained a teacher’s recommendation are subject to Anjiro Initiative’s discretion.
